I just got this NOS factory sealed New britain AMERICAN FORGE set in ( also from whatchamacallit tool) as a birthday gift for my brother.
I wasn't sure if I wanted to open it, but figured I should lube the ratchet.
I'm glad I did too, because sadly the plastic insert has crumbled.
Now I'm not quite sure if I'll be giving this to my brother or not, the box is blue which is his favorite color but I don't know how I feel about the sockets having to just be loose. It's a 3/8 and 1/4 combo set, so I can't just put the sockets on a cut down rail.
I have yet to actually use that Easco set that I have and could give him that set instead, but I specifically bought this NB set because it's metric which I figure will be more useful to him.
