i am on a self imposed ban from channel 2. i lurk there but mailnly to catch some new tool stuff and watch the for sale part. that is all mucked up after they changed it anyway. i still get an occasional message there but have not made a comment in over a year.

i watch toolguyd too but have not commented in ages there either. there was a discussion about "food grade" buckets and their use for produce, food prep and the like. my comments and i stick to them is that if you have a good  clean bucket that has not had any solvents, oils or other nasty things, for occasional use picking vegetables, canning, cleaning, etc. there was no need for food grade. a was told i had no idea what i was talking about.

i responded that until it hits the food proceesor grocer, or some other finish point there was no such thing as food grade.  i have been farming all of my life and have never seen a food grade, combine, auger, truck, grain bin or other storage facility other than with liquids (even then i question if some of it is). oh my god you would have thought i was threatening to kill people.

That entire episode was a classic Steve. Wonder if he ever made his fortune with that creeper?

No idea if he's even still in business. He was a class 1 ring muscle that is for sure. He got into it at another site he was spamming with a guy who bought one and it was not working right and ring muscle wouldn't make good on the warranty. A couple of unknown members kept hitting on the pages at the old site and the other forum which sent search results for ezcreep to those pages at the top two spots of the results.

Mayhew makes tough prybars, I've whacked the crap out the striking top on mine and its still around to work.

These Hyper Tough branded handle pry bars are rebranded WILDE, they were red up until a year or two ago.
They also make the orange ones for LANG, made the red ones for Craftsman 
,and they made them for menards / masterforce too but I don't remember the color, they might have also made them for true value  master mechanic.
I've had the full range from Hyper Tough for a few years now and they're great.

I thought they were mayhew, still good bars for the price.

I liked Mickey O at GJ.  He was a hoot and always posted up some sweet vintage tools most every week.

Actually, lots of good and fun folks at GJ, just a lot of wing nuts too.

Sk, I hear you on the food grade bucket, don't remember it but I would have backed you up.  Oh, don't forget to plant your veggies in food grade soil

It seems like there's a lot to miss out on over there, I know I do at times wish things moved a little faster around here but otherwise I'll never try to go back.

I was only a GJ member  for a few days before before getting kicked out I believe I only ever started 2 threads on that forum.
1 was about an old 4-1 screwdriver I was looking to get replacement parts for, and the other was about the Craftsman Robogrip pliers.

Maybe there had been a recent incident involving the robogrips or something ?
I have no clue but I distinctly remember the mod who banned telling me that that trying to start a discussion about the Robogrip pliers was a major red flag.
Something about it being an indication that I was just looking to discuss junk nobody's interest in.

Tons of things to miss on that site, however, between the immaturity of many posting, the heavy handed over moderation, and the arrogance of the site owner, the good is just not worth the overwhelming bad on the site. I  can't say that I miss it much

having also been chucked out of the gj I don't go there. too political with the vid and vax posts got me the heave ho. way better here. people who actually use tools rather than just polishing them.

never even heard of the shop floor place. before my interwebz time I guess.

I'll keep perusing this site until I can't or get the hammer.

That's a Mayhew Dominator, these are WILDE.
It's a great tool though, and that is a good price on them.
