When I got married in 1957 I was an RB47H pilot and wife wanted me to wear a ring. I agreed and about three months later when climbing down the aluminum ladder from the plane the ring hung up on the ladder. Good thing my other hand was still on the ladder, chinned up and got it loose. However, it still took a lot of skin off my finger. That was the last time I wore the ring. Still have the ring, and still have the wife of 66 years.
