Just attempted to log in & got the following message:

"Connection Problems
Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later."   

Kind of reminisent of the big dual site crash back in 2011

Postings have been very light since Noel's passing, but I still log in to check.  I sincerely hope this isn't a bad sign.  Does anyone have contact info for his son Patrick?  He wasn't active, but continued the site in his Dad's honor.
