GJ
Tool Talk
BadgerandBlade (shaving)
Bikeforums.net
Multitool.org (combo tools and knives)
DIYforums

These are the ones I visit fairly regularly. There are several others that I've lost interest and stopped visiting.

This and GJ are the only ones I really comment on, but I do read a few; Leverguns, Airheads, Bikeforums, CABE, and the Schwinn forum.

Gatewaytoairguns

Bladeforums ( mostly just the traditional section , Buck section, and axe section)

and I'm a member of Bikeforums but haven't even been there in over a year, mostly went looking for information on a vintage Dahon Stowaway bike I acquired.

Also a Galaxie club and Comet club on FB.

A bunch many of them mentioned already.

One of note that is quite possibly of interest to many here is the metal shaping forum - http://allmetalshaping.com/

Of particular note are some of the projects in the automotive section. What these guys build out of sheet metal or aluminum sheet is amazing. http://allmetalshaping.com/forumdisplay.php?f=20
People who confuse etymology and entomology bug me in ways I can’t put into words.

My list keeps getting smaller, The GG, Smokstak, yesterdays tractors, MTF my tractor forum. Savage shooters, 80% builders, I think I've been banned from Welding web, my account doesn't even show up anymore. must have been my welding up compressor tanks that did it.  :lol_hitting:

I visit Papaws wrench from time to time and the machinist gazzette as well.

I've been spending more time on facebook groups lately. not the same as forums but it hits a bigger audience.

Bikeforums as a guest, gj sporadically and a potpourri type forum, has a little of everything.

I tried a few other bike forums but most play to the elite cyclists, which I am not one of.

I have found that a lot of forums are like that, it will be hard to fit in if you're not into the latest and greatest or what the " coll kids " are into.
I have also noticed on some forums there will be a bit of an it crowd type , some of them are savage beasts.
I know on bladeforums there one such pack and if they decide they dont like someone that person is toast.
They'll set their sights on you, they'll find something wrong with everything you post, and they'll take years old comments out of context, and because they create their own definitive idea of who you are they'll see what they choose to you in everything you post.
They're good at either running people off or pushing them into getting themselves banned, because they know how appear in the right with everything they stay out of trouble and don't get outed as trolls.

That Sir is the challenge.  Learn the ropes and hand it back to them as calm and collected as you can.  If they act like asses make sure you don't and eventually they get their due.    Do that enough and make allies  then you are in the " in crowd" yourself.  Wait for forum turnover to raise your rank.

Took me a year to break into it on the toughest  forum.    And beyond that point its easy sailing.

Bonus points for proving you actually know more than the idiot claims to.
