I just love all the experts calling the races before all the precincts have reported in. In some states all it takes is a county or 2 to flip the results. I won't worry about it until the morning after my first cup of coffee.

Just so long as they hold the House. Not that I like much of anything they do but I don't want the President to get cut off at the knees with endless investigations by the Dems.

We've got a bunch of bonds locally that our tax-and-spend county bozo's are trying to sneak by us again. They can't stop wasting money, and keep getting bonds voted down, but keep right on pushing more bonds. If we can squeak by tonight with none of the bonds passing my property taxes could actually drop in 2 years. Of course the roads and parks will go to hell and they'll blame the lack of bonds but streets are going south anyway so why should we give them more money.

I kinda feel sorry for the voters in that one precinct of NYC who are about to vote in the latina who's promising everybody free everything. And when asked how she'll pay for it she says, "That's so puzzling to me - we'll just pay!".

Don't feel bad, they deserve Occasio Cortez.  They can get a taste of what a complete idiot representing them is like.  Plus, the republicans can paint her as the new face of the Democrat party.   >:D

we have gained in the Senate (thankfully Joe Donnelly is GONE here in Indiana now) but we are losing our butts in the House.

While we have a decent amount of control, if Trump gets voted out in two years, that could spell disaster for America

I think the Dems controlling the House will help Trump get reelected.  All they'll do will be to waste time trying to impeach him.  That will help Trump win in two years and Republicans will take back the House.

i agree. the dems tried to run on change, getting things done and making a difference.   they won't do that  and  in most cases the dems are more concerned about trashing trump, getting his tax returns and investigating his businesses. rather than getting anything done  they will waste as much time as they can on things like that. in the end that will only hurt them as i actually think the vast majority of americans could care less about trump and his personal life.

at least heidi got the axe and even the lefty media i saying she got a good old fashioned thumping.  :))

heidi was not all bad for north dakota but when it boiled down to the important stuff she went the other way and our voters new it. she outspent (with out of state money) cramer 5 to 1 and maybe picked up a couple percentage points. if heidi had been all for north dakota like she claimed she was  she would have taken the ag secretary position like trump offered her and would have ended her career popular. now she is just a loser.

Thanks to Reno and Vegas our state went almost totally blue. I thought what happened in Vegas stayed in Vegas but their cancer spread really bad. At least Dennis Hof the dead brothel owner won. ::)

Well, things didn't go so well for the RINO's. Both House races in Southern AZ went Dem - not surprising as Dems form a larger portion of the population around here.

Now the scary thing is if something happens to Trump and Pence we'll all have President Nancy Pelosi leading us! ???

Texans barely held off Beto, and Cruz won, but some local races weren't so great for Republicans.

Seems the Democrats control the House now, so I foresee a lot of further gridlock in Congress. It is too much to hope for that the two sides might compromise.

It is perfectly normal for the house to flip in mid-terms. Good thing the Senate stayed red. I can't wait to see what happens when dem voters find out they won't be getting free healthcare, student loan forgiveness, guaranteed income, free college and the list can go on and on.

I figured we'd lose the House but that's okay.  Solidifying the Senate will be a big help when the Grim Reaper comes for Ginsburg and we have another Supreme Court nominee.  No more Flakes to pacify.   ;)

+1 -- two years of wild unhinged Democrats pushing an impeachment agenda instead of passing effective legislation will make 2020 a comeback year. The BIG bonus is that Jeff Sessions resigned today. We might finally get a USAG that has some integrity and guts to clean the swamp.

I think Jeff was hoping for a Senate loss; thereby making it harder to get a confirmation through. Now that the Senate is in much better shape, I'm betting that Pres. Trump will nominate a PITBULL for AG.

They'll be rioting in the streets, attacking innocent businesees, screaming people out of restaurants, assaulting anyone they deem as guilty - just like they have been doing. Seems like we may need to pull the national guard from the border to keep mainstreet America safe.

And with a REAL AG, we might actually be able to jail some crooks!

Exactly! the most important thing was preserved, the ability to appoint good judges! I do hope old Ginsburg folds up her tent and heads home soon. From here on in the next two years nothing will get done with the Dems taking the house though.

I always laugh when I hear the Dens talk about wanting the Republicans to "work with them" That phrase is code for bend over and grab your ankles and we are going to corn hole you into submission!  :o And too many times in the past the spineless Republicans assumed the position for their royal corn holing!  ::)

Although most people haven't grasped the concept yet, the fact is that we are currently in the early stages of a civil war. No shooting yet, but just as in the 1st civil war, hostile political forces (Soros, Koch Bros., MSM, Bloomberg, Hollywood, Wall Street, Slicon Valley, etc...) and bands of thugs (ANTIFA , Black Panthers, MS-13, La Raza, etc..) are being mobilized to subvert the will of the people. The intent is to use the thugs to incite violence and use the media and Silicon Valley to blame Christians and conservatives.

I pray that I'm wrong, but history tells me that it will not end well. At some point the shooting will start, and just as in the first civil war battle at Bull Run, it will quickly spin out of control. Patriot militias and Christian conservatives will eventually respond in kind. The good thing is that Trump will have the military and civil law enforcement behind him. The bad is that there will most likely be a lot of bloodshed.

I would venture to say the common people that support Trumpism have a enough weaponry and ammo to wage a good size fight. I just hope it never happens, why these people are so butt hurt over the Trump win is still baffling to me. I really think its the work of the last of the baby boomers radicals on their way out the door trying to win one last fight before they push their wheel chair off into the sunset.

why are the butt hurt? because they know that in essence  trump didn't win as much as they lost. i am glad he won but he was easily beatable and they know it.  rather than run someone who would have been more electable they caved to the far left and got what they deserve.

those people are used to giving the screwing rather than receiving and they don't like it.

You're right, SK. Trump was not my first choice, and he is not saint, but by getting elected he kept Hillary from the Oval office. Big win right there! And seeing her for two years now whining and complaining is worthy TV. What a sore loser and sour puss! And all the snowflakes who are screaming, crying, chanting endlessly makes me even more happy she didn't get in.

If true Highland, we're in for a real screamfest. Can you imagine the lefty frenzy if Trump gets to seat a third Supreme Court justice???

Already hearing the screaming from the leftist media that Pres. Trump should be impeached before he selects a possible replacement for Associate Justice Bader-Ginsburg. She isn't even close to hanging it up, and the left has her already dead and buried and is pushing for a new unhinged mob narrative.

I hope she goes home quickly. Trump is in better shape for placing another one now with a few of the RINO's gone. Fingers crossed. That would really seal his legacy for me. Let the left go pound sand. ;)

Well, even if she doesn't kick the bouquet she'll be unable to hear cases for several months (if she has broken ribs). That right there will give conservatives more clout on any cases the court hears, as the libs are automatically down a vote.

AZ senate race just went south. The wacko Dem is now in the lead, though lots more votes have to be counted. But I'm assuming whatever side comes up short will go to court. With all the illegal fraud here I'm not surprised. McSally is not any great candidate but anyone's better than meth Sinema.

Maryland reelected a Republican Gov for the first time since the 50's.

Not really a surprise as he is quite popular and middle of the road.  Still have a veto proof legislation so that didn't change but at least things will stay in check
