Title: No more black and yellow assembled in USA
Post by: highland512 on March 18, 2024, 11:24:54 AM
The last of the "Made in the USA with Global Components" will be drying up soon. The power tool factory in South Carolina will be shutting its doors.

Honestly, I'm surprised it lasted this long.

they been running dewalt through the wringer at the journal for a couple days. the news sucks for sure but the milwaukee, makita, "insert any other brand here" guys are all chiming in how dewalt is dead and they will never own black and yellow/stanley blaa blaa blaa.

yea, like any of those other brands make or assemble anything to speak of here.

that thread is a good reminder of why i keep my mouth shut over.

i wish dewalt would keep or expand that type of mfg. and assembly stateside but sadly it isn't so.

I will stick with DeWalt, Im not into buying more batteries.

That whole site is a reminder of why I keep my mouth shut there. Hell, I can't remember the last time I was even there. The amount of people who bashed SK and where selling stuff when Ideal bought them just to go off and buy Carlisle or Hobo Freight was puzzling.
