Title: Another good auction today
Post by: coolmercury on June 27, 2020, 05:56:24 PM
Picked these ratchets up at a moving auction today.  Paid $25.00 for them, also included some other stuff.  From the left, 1/4" MIT, 3/8" Craftsman, 3/8" No Name, 3/8" Craftsman flex, 3/8" MAC flex, 1/2" Thorsen, 1/2" Indestro Select , and lastly a 15", 1/2" New Britain.  Not too many bidders present.

Yes, there were lots of tools, but many were to rusty for me and brought too much money.  I bought the lot to get the Craftsman flex and the 15 inch New Britain.

It is almost painful to open these threads by coolmercury. My jaw hits the floor every single time he shows his auction scores.

What's with the MIT ?
The name is familiar to me for some reason,  is it made in Germany?

Okay.
I think one time I saw an MIT ratchet listed on Ebay as made in Germany.

I've heard good things about the US made tekton screwdrivers ( no clue who's manufacturing them ), and of course the US made pliers are just rebranded Wilde so theres no question there.

Not being big on Asian hand tools when I can help it I have no experience with them otherwise.
