There hasn't been many tools that would change how I do my job in a long time.
Getting back to the diesels had me needing a pocket wtench for batteries and odd bits so I picked up a good 6" in the right color.

Pretul isn't prestigious but they are well made.

Picked up a couple things yesterday.

The cheap leather punch set Is nothing special, but I needed 'em and they get the job done.

The Craftsman bit ratchet is pretty nice, I'm still inclined to trust my American made Lang / Craftsman more but this one is smaller and lower profile.
It's a nice little tool nonetheless and you can't beat the $12 price.

It's not the same as the typical reverse gear or gearwrench type but it is also made in Taiwan.
Maybe it's the same as that one they used to sell at Walmart ?

My Harry Eppstein order arrived. Six ball pein hammers, California framing hammer, couple of files, pliers, cotter pin puller tool, a punch and some brake tools. Also got a Kobalt 3/8" drive ratchet from cripe, some tungstens for the tig, and some brass and stainless steel brushes for the tig from some ebay sellers.

What a purchase.
Vaughan sure makes an excellent hammer for the money.

Made by Vaughan.
Notice how the blue paint is the exact same color found on Vaughan and Dasco pro branded tools, that's not how I know though.

They've been making stuff for grayvik for a while, the heads used to come painted black though.

vaughan makes nothing for  grayvik. vaughan make hammers for vaughan and those that do not pass inspection are shifted to the sideline and branded as grayvik. that doesn't mean a grayvik hammer is bad. it just means that a grayvik hammer may have a casting flaw, paint flaw or some other imperfection. a perfectly good hammer  that  will most likely perform like a vaughan  but may not be as pretty.
