Yep, Gravik are seconds.  Mostly cosmetic

Definitely great looking hammers. I doubt i could pick out the flaws if given a specific sample.

Definitely , and the defects are only cosmetic anyways.
I'm not sure they're allowed to knowingly sell a defective tool, so you'll get the same 1080 steel with the same proper heat treat and the same tight hang.

I've got a small scar on my cheek from a childhood incident where a cheap junk hammer I was using chipped, to this day I will not touch a crap import hammer.
China, Taiwan , India, or Mexico ,forget it you couldn't pay me to take a hammer from one of these countries unless I was allowed to permanently dispose of it.
Call me snobbish or picky but I will never spend my hard earned money on a hammer unless it's American made ( nothing against europe I suppose ) and has a hickory handle, just a preference of mine that's never gonna change.

Cool, never knew they offered those in Orange.
My choice is the little Dasco freebie thumb bar from the Walmart " 2pc set " ( they don't count the little one ) but those CountyComm bars are a bit nicer.

I ordered a a few more American made tools from HJE, I'll post them when they arrive.

Here's channellocks smallest pliers, plus a nice awl from a company I've never heard of, and a replacement screwdriver for my current set out in the garage.

Bought the little ignition pliers for my 1/4 drivr set because they seemed like they'd come in handy.

Yep HJE.
It was only about $3 too, seems really well made.

C. S. Osborne has been around since the mid 1800's at least. They make/distribute a lot of specialty stuff like upholstery tools, leather tools, masonry tools, specialty stuff. Good solid tools. I have some canvas stretching pliers they make and stretched miles of canvas with them and they look like they've just come out of the box.
People who confuse etymology and entomology bug me in ways I can’t put into words.

I figured they were likely an old company, thanks for the info.
I bought this awl for leather work.

HJE provided excellent service and fast shipping again.

Saw this at the hardware for $10 and had to try it, I've never heard of 'em before and I'm a real sucker for long standing family owned American manufacturers.

This thing works very well, and it's really smooth too.
Not good for watering the roses of course.

That is a nice batch of tools there H&S.
I'm definitely happy, especially that the money got lost and was found then dropped off at the post office.
The two unexpected toss-ins are welcomed.
I've never seen another fingertip screwdriver just like this one and I think it's pretty cool.
If I had to guess based on the look of the tip / shank I'd guess Harold or Rosco as the manufacturer but it could have been anybody.

Years ago Snap-on sold that exact FT screwdriver in both straight and Phillips. I bought one of each and I doubt those are either Harold, or Rosco. I have no clue who made them but mine are twins to that one.
You boys better hold on cause I'm gonna have to stand on it!

Interesting.
I found a picture online of a similar ( but not exact ) slightly nicer looking one with markings that I can't make out.
The picture directs you to piclick for an old New Britain clutch drive screwdriver so it's basically a dead end.
