A vintage WRIGHT 2400, 1977 dated if I'm not mistaken.

Thats one clean ratchet, and nice knife!

Thanks, I really lucked out on both of these recently.

The ratchet being unused as far as I can tell, was $26 .

The Buck 704 maverick came to me last week about as mint as you can get for a 40 year old knife without the box.
The seller must not have known what he had, because he took my offer of $29 shipped and that's a steal for an early English script 704 in really any condition.
Any English script Buck of the era is worth more than that actually.

Normally I don't get such deals and really just wanna score an item without breaking the bank,  but I'm especially happy with this purchase.

No actual tools today,  but a couple of tool related decals for my toolbox.
I know a lot of people don't like putting decals on their boxes,  but my grandfather put decals on his and my dad did too.
We even used to put stickers all over the TV when TV'S still had room to put them.

Elroy made a recent stop by "southern" and selected these "Made in France" Blackhawk branded Torx drivers. The single T40 was $2 so the total on the eight pieces came to $7.
Not bad

elroy knows a deal when he sees one. those same drivers were also made in green and carried the sk name when sk was affiliated with facom.

the farmer has a few green ones with flat and phillips tips. pretty decent drivers and comfortable as well.

Quite the deal on the torx drivers

For me, not an often-used tool but I am glad I have them in the collection

Absolutely agree Phil. I see more and more Torx in everyday use. From deck screws, lag screws/bolts, to common household appliances; Torx is taking the lead. I owned a marginal set of drivers for a long time, but given the prevalence of these fasteners, I bit the bullet and purchased a set of NOS Craftsman Torx drivers on eBay. Glad I did because the security Torx (S-Torx) drivers have saved my bacon on several occasions when taking apart small kitchen appliances.

Elroy made a very good purchase - congrats.  :bravo_2:

I understand the Flying Tools sticker is funny.

But to a 73 year old guy who was the kid that had to retrieve the screwdrivers and pliers that his dad had thrown and that bounced off the imposing neighbor's garage, I still have PTSD - Post Tool-throwing Sneeking-back to Dad.  ::)

No disrespect to the very real and actual PTSD sufferers indented.

After the VP fuel jugs started leaking I decided to retry a different brand. Will give these a try. After two of my VP jugs started leaking within a few weeks of each other I don’t have much faith in them.

I wonder if they put that export only sticker on the bottom for a reason??🤣🤣

Did they have a sale or something that I missed ?

Btw I've never made a large enough order to get box art, everything I've ordered was coming in a bubble mailer and I'm not sure if they'll draw on those.

Those security Torx and Allen screws can be a real problem. Hold no doubt, Elroy has access to a wide selection of both internal and external Torx bits . However most of them were the square drive socket verity. Elroy's straight shank drivers selection was fairly limited until recently. Many times a straight shank driver is required due to limited access. That problem should now be history.
