Now this is real country music

The fact that you won't hear this on the radio proves that mainstream country music is dead.
Everyone with a brain knows it's all just tractor pop now, they sing about southern things but it's all just pop music.

This on the other hand is real country music.
Always lookin' to learn

Its is sad what has happen to country radio. But I also remember my dad bitchin about how Garth Brooks wasn't country  :D. I think every generation has "their own music" but the music of the last 6-8 years on country radio is just pop music talking about bud light, tractors, and mud tires.

Now all the songs sound the same, literally.

Like anything else making music is just about making money to the big record companies, and the more charts they get the more money they make. Im afraid its just going to getting worse with time. The small independent radio stations are either closing up or getting bought out. Where I live now we dont have any independent radio stations. Where I grew up there is a couple still on the air and they get to pick and choose what they play and guess what? Its not unusual to hear Jamey Johnson, Cody Jinks, and other "traditional" artist. The only thing you can do is spend you $$ on what you like to listen to and dont support the crap you cant stand.

Now for your listing enjoyment, the most country song in all of history (my opinion)

There was a world wide poll about 7-10 years ago.
" He stopped loving her today" was number one  when it was all over.
You can't get more country then George Jones or Hank Williams senior. Three chords and the truth about life.

Went to a Willie Nelson concert in the mid 80's and all the Highwaymen happened to be there so they all got up and did a few songs. Great concert.

I dont do trashville or tractor rap.
The best music comes out of austin.
People like robert earl keen and chris knight are todays country.

Check out 95.3 the range if you have iheart radio or something
