Respect for your grandma and her sister. Cranking a Tin Lizzy was fraught with a host of hazards.

On that model T,  an aftermarket radiator cover, maybe a winterfront?   Covers up the Ford emblem.   Also a neat aftermarket radiator cap.   Really only two things hazardous to cranking a Model T, Ford.   If you didn't set the spark advance correctly  the crank could snap back and break your arm, and if the hand brake wasn't set correctly, when it fired up it could take off, so if you were rolling on the ground with a broken arm, there was a small possibility you could be run over, but they didn't weigh all that much!!!   That T was new enough it had an electric starter,  if it had a good battery.

I was told it was an aftermarket replacement radiator.

Game was not scarce in the day, was it?   That Model T is early 1912 or so,  guys look pretty pleased.    The fellow holding the turkey is carrying a Model 8 Remington semi auto carbine.   Got one myself.   Family pics?

Back in the day when the store owner knew his customers by name, & would sell one piece of anything if that's all you needed!
Cheers,
Tom

Keep smiling.  Everyone will wonder what you're up to!

Photos from my late Father's scrap book.

I think these were taken at an AMA event near Milwaukee in the early '50s, that may be his bike in the individual shot.
