This "kid" is truly a master machinist --
« on: October 26, 2020, 09:39:25 AM »
Stumbled across this young man's project page and it does my heart good to see him practice the machinist's art to a very high level of expertise. He can't be older than his mid-20s, but his work would put a professional master machinist with decades of experience on notice; with precision to the nth degree.

Case in point -- at timestamp 9:23 he indicates his finished machinist vise base with "0" runount in the vertical and horizontal plane. That kind of manual machining precision takes many a lifetime to achieve; yet he's just a "kid". His channel is worth watching -- and learning from.

There are still people that can use their mind and hands to make things to a level of precision that CNC machines can't yet achieve.

His skills with metal bending and shaping are also exemplary. He built his own tool cabinet -- just amazing

That's a good find, surface grinder is the tits.

What I saw that was enjoyable was the simple logic used to duplicate and true the various parts... Nothing complicated good old common sense at work..
