I PM'd him the day he posted asking for shipping costs - he said it was local pick-up only. Gonna give it another week or so. If he still has it, I'll try and see if he'll pack it up for me. Kinda a limited market for such a sweet box. The price is good but I think most guys don't want to do restore work on them.

Since I am not a member of that channel I can't see the picture. Post a pic so I can see it here. I don't venture that far into Calif. anymore but might make an exception once the snow clears. It is snowing again and is probably much worse on Hwy 50 to Shingle Springs.

It is right in the corner of California where Nevada goes from north/south border to the angled border.

It is on the western slope of the Sierra Nevada about 70 miles straight line distance from me but farther driving. There is no way I would drive up to Lake Tahoe and over Echo Summit on Hwy 50 for a few weeks yet. It is just a ways past Placerville.

Yeah, mountain driving tends to be alot more than straight line distance.

We'll see what happens in a week or two. Maybe the shipping won't be too awful.

It's even further for me or I'd get it for you.

Yeah I know. You guys are just so great.

When I saw $5 I knew there was a catch. Shipping would be a killer. But we'll see. That box all restored with the proper S-K color could house alot of vintage tools for me

It's a cool box, I bet it just needs a good cleaning.

Preserving that logo would be key.

Exactly. Gentle scrubbing but not on the decal.

No problem. I go that way several times a year on the way to my summer home. I’ll be happy to have it for my wartime tools.

Shoot, those tools would be right at home in that box.   8)

Come on now. That's just down the road from you guys. It's only an inch or two on the map. I've driven further for less.
