A couple of 1/4 drive Blackhawk 16ND sets:

Awesome sets, thanks for digging this up and posting so I don't have to dig it up.
I find it strange that you don't get wrenches in a 1/4 set today, they come in so handy.

I'm currently working on the latest iteration my ultimate 1/4dr kit, just waiting on the sae deep wells to arrive.

Got the deep wells in today and my kit is now complete,  I'll have to post pictures tomorrow though because I also got a 1963 Mitchell 300 spinning reel in and burned up all my daylight after work using the kit servicing this reel.

The heart of this kit besides the snap-on party box that makes it all possible is the complete inclusive WRIGHT tool 1/4dr set.

I really liked my previous kit and it worked very well over the past maybe year, but what I didn't like is having had to compromise on sockets and how annoying it was having to get everything back in just right.
That box is now being used in the garage for a 1/4 set with a much more reasonable amount of stuff in it.

I always liked those "party boxes" as you called it. I never found one priced well enough for me to take it home sadly.
You boys better hold on cause I'm gonna have to stand on it!

I wonder what kind of model# they'd have if they didn't come with a poker set inside?

They do command more than I wish they did, but it's sure a lot less than a kra149 or God forbid the even rarer XPL996-4 if I these weren't a more "affordable"option.
I'm crazy but not crazy enough to pay what those command thats for sure.

Got this nice Thorsen set in the SS exchange this year

The Thorsen/action flex handle and Thorsen 77M just barely fit, so I went ahead and added them.

I rearranged my 1/4+ set, as well as added a thing or two.

Thank you.
I had an idea in my head with this set, and a couple hundred dollars later the goal was met and it has proven to be everything I wanted it to be.
I have small sets in the main box I can grab if I need to, but this is what I grab when I know I plan to need 1/4dr and any other small tools that tend to go with 1/4dr territory.

I have looked back through this whole discussion covering my screen with drool again,  and I can't believe where I started in my 1/4 journey compared to where I am now.
I had 2 ratchets and one small hodgepodge homegrown set that I was happy with.
Now I've got I think 7 sets, 11 or so 1/4 ratchets,  and one extensive decked out set I never could have dreamed of owning before let alone even being something that exists.

These 40 pages of 1/4 goodness are entirely responsible for my 1/4 drive journey,  and I want to thank everyone who has contributed content to it.

I normally don't go after sets since I'm just going to yank the ratchet out and probably lose the rest somewhere in the garage, but couldn't pass up the None Better set - didn't have one of these old school 1/4" NB "mini club" style ratchets in the obsess... er, collection yet.  Too many of these (Cr, New Brit, & Husky for the other 3) are missing the square drive, and that's an immediate reject for me.  Likely missing a 1/2" socket and maybe a short ext, will have to do a little detectin' and see if I can find a catalog with set descrip.

Didn't have the Wright-sourced Klein ratchet either, so getting the like new sockets & ext with the ratchet was a bonus.  Unfortunately missing at least a 5/16" socket, but I won't lose any sleep over it...
