Title: Lets talk about snow tires
Post by: Uncle Buck on October 06, 2019, 05:51:04 PM: I foolishly bought my 18 year old daughter a Mustang last spring. The car has been good and she enjoys it very much, however Mustangs are total garbage in winter snow driving. Sadly, I know that she is going to have to drive this car regularly this winter so I am determined to make the situation the best that I can for her. I am leaning toward the Cooper "Evolution Winter" or "True North" or possibly the Cooper Weather-Master.

I guess modern thinking is even for a RWD car you put 4 snow tires on and not two like we did when I was growing up. Anyway, tell me what you guys think about snow tires, and snow tire brands if you would please.

Definitely a couple of bags of sand in the trunk

Also, first snow fall, hit a local parking lot to teach her how to counter steer, do some donuts and maybe the proper way to rock from forward to reverse to get unstuck.

I agree on no snows on the front. When pop bought them back in the day snows only went on the rear. I still think they are only needed on the rear of RWD cars, but yet I think modern thinking is snows on front and back, even RWD! :o
