A while back I picked up this Taiwanese Craftsman bit ratchet at Lowes ( not quite identical to the gearwrench, but they're all about the same ) and it's a nice little tool, but I was putting it to use for the first time today and there were some things I didn't like about it.
I didn't like the angled head, and I didn't like the useless box wrench on the end of the handle.
I cut that off but it made the handle a bit too short so I decided to go a bit crazy with it
Here's what I came up with.

I really like these little Craftsman drivers and hated to sacrifice it, but I accidentally broke the standard last week and I've got another pair so I decided to just go for it.
This steel was actually a lot easier to file down than I expected too which was great because it was necessary to fit this handle.
Time will tell, but initial impressions are great.

If you like it then that's all that matters. Nice job on the fitment for sure.

Thanks.
The clear handle looks a bit weird for a ratchet so I may find a different handle at some point, but overall I am happy with it.

I think it looks good. I'd keep it that way.

I like it!
