Okay, so this happened two years ago, but like conductor mentioned it must have been an anomaly.  My last trailer load when we moved from Florida to the Missouri Ozarks I was pulling my 16 foot cargo trailer with my 150.  I had pulled this trailer over 40,000 miles over about 10 years without any problem.  Stopped for a biscuit early in the morning, when leaving had to cross the middle of a four lane and it had a dip in it.  Wife said "better step on it, a truck is coming" and I did.  Then there was this terrible scraping sound and I realized the trailer had come loose.  Chains held and it was sliding along on the skid, only damage was to the truck, the trailer ran into the bumper when I stopped.  I had a lock in the hitch, so this should not have happened, but I figure the torque from the dip must have forced it off the ball.  Jacked it up and put it back on the ball and went another 800 miles.  Since that time I have pulled the trailer another 2000+ miles without any problems. :c002:

Been working on my 90 degree offset 1/4" drive adaptor. I'd like to make it at least 12-15 inches long - figure if I'm gonna use it to remove screws in tight areas it outta be longer than any ratchet combo or extra long ratcheting box wrench I could use. Finally got the hex to square part figured out. Now I've gotta see what kind of 1/4" long extension I can get and then make a sleeve to hold the end to.
I'm currently thinking PVC or aluminum tube to keep the extended weight down. I'll be sure to post some pics if I ever get the thing to work.

basically the damper is done, a little bit of motor bracket fabrication and the spray bomb job (minion work). With Norm's invaluable help, blades are fitted, all weld together, linkage done, drive arm mounted.

1 - linkage side
2 - drive side
3 - closed
4 - open

That's a really nice chest.
Is the need enough? Or does the want suffice?

Amazing what comes out of the Machine closet . How do you move that as you build. Have not spotted  an engine hoist, sky hook ?

Scrubbing all my gutters and trim paint in prep for freshening that up. I am working on the back of the house which doesn't get direct sunlight, so I don't really need to deal with the major parts. But someone in the past did a complete hack job on the paint, so I am cleaning up various message that have been there for years. Things like having multiple shades of white on the same piece of trim, paint smeared on windows and so on.

Went off the property for the sixth time since lockdown started thirty days ago for flu vaccine. When my GP's surgery rang me to come and get a few flu shot they said don't come in we're doing them from a tent outside on the car park, just turn up. I turned up, rolled the window down, pulled up my sleeve, and she stabbed me without even getting out of the ute.

Also ordered a new tee shirt.

We sheared off yet another 1" breaker bar on a 3-1/8" nut on a hydraulic.  The socket was sent out to be resized for a 1.5" breaker bar.

I used to have a torque multiplier that would have handled that

Wow! Don't see that too often. You guys must really have some tough old equipment to break those 1" bars like that.

This little toy did the trick.  The old Williams socket now needs a bigger breaker bar.
