Today we went to drop the axle from a tractor that works a place for recycling car glass, typically the windshields with the plastic sheet.
And they can strip 90% of the glass off the sheet then chip the glass into sand sized chunks.
They even make their own heavy walled roll off containers as the glass cuts holes in thin steel with use. The backhoe tractors have forklift type solid front tires, it seems pretty smart.
All in one small semi closed warehouse in the industrial park.
The next door neighbor is Saint Gobain auto glass which isn't a huge surprise. Raw material mostly comes from them, only a small portion from outside sources.
