Toilet paper shortage?

Rumors of shortages of toilet paper and other items has people panicking. I saw it started in Australia where a newspaper even printed an extra 8 blank pages for people to use as TP.
My sister sent me a message earlier asking if I had bought all the TP at the Costco in Carson City. She said the employees told her that 300 people were lined up waiting for them to open and they ran in and grabbed all the TP. I think we need a wall between Calif and Nevada to keep all the looneys up at Lake Tahoe.

We have a lot of Korean folks living in our area, and they flooded the local COSTCO in huge numbers earlier in the week. I guess it's a cultural thing that stresses preparedness within their Korean communities. I saw many rolling out pallets of TP and water -- why, I don't know. My wife thinks that since many of them are small retail business owners, they may be reselling these items within those closed communities. Whatever the reason, COSTCO, Target, and Walmart are seeing an uptick in profits from this Corona scare.

Where is most TP made? Where are workers getting sick and causing factories and transportation to have delays.

(I don't think it decimates any forests as it is grown to be used quickly much like other pulp paper products, but you get the idea)

The paranoia today reminds me of the Y2K scare. People buying up all sorts of stuff because the "world was gonna stop".
 

I went shopping on Wednesday, and saw alot of the canned meats were sold out. Oh well, I'm a bit of a prepper so I've got a couple weeks worth of stores - no big deal. I did buy a few boxes of Mac N Cheese, but didn't go a hoardin. People are so fickle.

good thing there is handful of old men out there sitting on a billion rounds of .22 rimfire. Now they can take their .22 ammo and bolt action rifles and go mad max them selves some TP and potted meat.
