You boys might recall I lost my dad on January 30th of 2019. As most might recall all of 2019 I was in ill health and slowly making progress to regain my health. Well in the fall of last year I started making weekly trips between Topeka and Lee's Summit to my parents old place and moving everything from dad's shop that I could move to storage near my home. First pops 1930 Ford A Coupe and 1946 Ford ragtop came out, then a bit at a time the rest of pops tools and equipment. Dad was a real string saver so this was no small undertaking for one old man and a 17-year-old boy.
About a month ago I got the last of what I will attempt to bring home out of their place. In the last month, I have started making headway digging out in my small shop. I still have a ways to go but I am starting to see significant progress. I think in another month or so I will finally be ready to post pictures of what my cleaned and de-cluttered shop looks like.
I will take pics before moving the cars in because I do not anticipate having much room to show how good it all looks after I move the cars in.
By the end of the year I will have added a 10 x 15 shed on skids to hold the excess engines, transmissions and parts that go with the cars so I will be very busy through the summer finishing this project up. (I cannot affort to add on to my garage or I would) a shed I can do for less than 5K.
I very much look forward to sharing how well my shop will look post cleanup. This has required me to dump a lot of crap that I really never needed anyway.
