The picture frame for my mom is done.
I didn't torn out quite as well as I had hoped, but still better than anything I would have made screwing around in shop class as a kid.

Looks good! Your mother is going to love it!

That frame is great and any slight imperfections are what make it a very personal gift. :great:

Thank you.
I just have to remind myself that it looks like I made it, not like I simply purchased it.

I'm positive she will absolutely love it, and that is her favorite picture of me too.
I believe I was 4 or 5.

Edit : I was 3 , I just noticed the banana scented Rugrats watch my dad bought me at Burger King.
That movie was released in '98.

Today I rehandled my Buck model 212 fixed ranger, walnut with a grass pin and original aluminum and burgundy micarta guard spacers.

This is what it looks like from the factory, I found the handle oversized for the knife.

Today was Lucy's first birthday. We celebrated with friends and family last night.

Then tonight I tortured myself by hanging Christmas lights (I'm usually ready to hang myself by the end)

Absolutely! -- my sincere condolences on the passing of another close family member. At 90y/o he had a great run, and by the way you described his response about the funeral, it seems he was quite content with his life.

Sorry to hear this Dustin.
