Your way shorter than I figured you to be. :lol_hitting:

Moving right along. how far out?
Finally got power yesterday, still don’t have water. Could be done next week if we would have had utilities, but the Corona stopped everything. It is 6 weeks for opening after power. The owner has to stock, fill tanks, train, test, etc.
6 weeks?? Holy shit, up here it would be 2 weeks tops, but stores are smaller so...  Food service takes some time as its pretty complicated with all the equipment. Sometimes  punch lists are completed when store is open unless its something major. From experience its a zoo in one of these stores when they are setting it up to open.

I bet coordinating all the trades in that last few weeks is challenging.  Lot going on inside those stores.  And of course, the owners want to get the employees in and trained and start making money asap.

Heiny, your stress level must get high as the job winds down

Nashville water department isn’t giving new water service because of the flu, so we can’t landscape.

Really, no new taps cause of the Wuhan. That's crazy. We never stopped the service end, just made everyone isolate. kinda funny to see a 3 person crew show up in 3 vehicles. But then they crawl in the hole and work shoulder to shoulder. :lol_hitting:  But we were following the guidelines. ;)

That's unusual. Most water departments just have one guy in the hole and the rest up top watching :lol_hitting:

We're too short handed to have shovel holders. Departments running about 60% staffed. Starting pay is too low to attract good help and the Wuhan really hurt the economy. Got word last week that even tho our wage study says we need more money the Wuhan has the city in a $2 mil deficit. May be seeing some 2 person crews.

Yup, 5 guys on a job, 5 vehicles and then we all work in the same spot. We try to stay away but its not always possible.

Paint the rocks green and call it good!

At least that what the local yocals do here with "desert landscaping"!  :lol_hitting:
