Box lot surprise

Bought a box lot to get a box of deck screws and this item was in the bottom.  First thought it was a semi tire whacker, but then looked at the end and it said "US".  Checked on line and it is a US Military Police Baton.  Wonder how many drunks it has whacked?

Heh, I found one in the dollar pile at a swap recently. I have no need for it but figured what the heck. I don't think it is a US though.
