Whatzit electrical thingy?
« on: December 11, 2020, 06:03:37 PM »
Part of a lot I bought a while back.

We can't figure out what it is, or what it does.

Possibly attaches to a vehicle battery and some other stuff.

Thanks!
David

So that is where the missing part of my flux capacitor ended up.

It looks like a shunt that were once used in older battery and ignition system testers to measure Amperes

Hook it up to a battery and put your tongue on it.  Tell us what happens.

Thanks, Gentlemen.  :93:

Ooops. Mea Culpa. :-[ Ray nailed it.

That stuff came out of the Sears-Penske Automotive Engine Analyzer 244.21032 that I bought a while back.

Looked good on the outside, and most of the accessories & the manual were in the storage compartment. It was cheap and kinda cool, so I bought it. I have 2 or 3 old heaps I could actually use it on.

Got it home and opened it up. Some dummy left the D batteries in the battery case and they were corroded big time. Then some other dummy bought it.  ::)

So I took all that stuff out intending to clean it up and see if I could revive it. Couldn't figure out how to get the batteries out without ruining their case and/or the wiring; so I set it aside.

Came across it tonight and took another look and it all came back to me.  ::)

It looks cool, anyway.  :))
