Title: Snap on ratchet receiving plugs
Post by: snapmom on January 11, 2024, 02:50:17 PM
From the mid 20s.  Made in 1/2 and 5/8 drive. SG7A and HD7C.  Early ones did not have the Snap on Logo,  had an internal catch to turn it (never found one that works well)  Snap on had the pat. for these.  US1772524A. 4/1927
The 5/8 dr is very hard to find.

That is a nice find, right time right place.   5/8 could double as a Blackjack, ouch!

Those are awesome. When you say hard to find I read that as impossible to find  for anyone else.

Neat.  Knurled handle on an extension would be so handy today,  now imagine if that had an internal ratchet.  Am surprised there are no pipe wrench marks on the knurling
