Title: Weekend buys
Post by: john k on January 28, 2024, 09:30:33 PM
Had to escape my cabin fever recently.  Bought a handful of tools at an estate sale.  Dug thru a sizable box of pliers,  finding 2, an older looking 6 inch,  with the name inside the handles, (Winchester).  Yes, a first for me on this brand.  The other is a nice pair of linesman 8 inchers. Not Craftsman but Sears, no warranty but how could one break linesman pliers?  My big find yesterday at a Habitat Restore, was a pristine NewBritain 5/8 line wrench.  A very nice Armstrong 7/16 combo in the extra long version.  Best find for me is a William's combo box-open wrench in 1-1/2, chrome good, very little wear.  Tried to post pics again, reduced a pic way down,  it times out before anything comes out.  Been promised faster internet since Oct.  still nothing.  Did find some older S-K Wayne but the po ground 3 notches in all of them.
