just what kind of members do we have here anyway?

damn good ones. i put up two ads looking for 2 blackhawk sockets. one here and one at the journal. 10's of thousands of members there and i got crickets for response. my offer was to buy them and pay cash, no response,

the ad here? it generated several pm's, some leads and in the end i was able to source both sockets. both members wanted nothing and actually sent me much more.

special thanks to elroy and hofferwood. makes me proud to be part of the group that calls this place home.  :-*

Like I've said before, Garage Journal is the main party, they let everybody in, a lot of those which you just dont want to be around.

Kudos to Elroy and Hofferwood for their generosity.
We may not be as big as GJ but have a better group as far as I'm concerned. It is great fun to swap and help people in need.

Absolutely - when I broke my 13mm deep 3/8” drive vintage Craftsman a few weeks ago, several members stepped up and offered to help replace it and/or search their inventory to find the exact item that I needed. Good guys all !!!!

Whenever someone posts that they need a replacement tool or are trying to fill out a set I always check my stash. But you guys are good at breaking sockets that I don't have as extras. ;D

Definitely a great group here.
The " stuff " isn't important ,but the generosity is what matters.
When someone is looking for something just taking the time to look and see if you've got a spare is generous, with the amount of tools some of you have I'm sure just looking can be a chore  ;D

In my opinion, the best.

Beside personal help from Goodfellow and Jabber with tools I received wise advice from Phil a number of years ago when I was expanding and upgrading my tools for use in a dealership.
