I went to the hardware store for some hooks and found these Crawford locking peg hook assortments, they come with these little black thingies what lock them in place.
I also picked up a second Stanley 10-499 on sale for $5.
Oh and my SAE NAPA USA combos came in.

I'm guessing the total to this point = what the HF thing would have cost ....spending wisely I'd say.
For just the work bench, pegboard, and hooks I'm at about $80.
Bot since the HF came with a light I guess I should count the $30 it cost me for new bulbs and florescent starters for that overhead light.
The feeling of a job well done, and the satisfaction of knowing you built it yourself is worth more then anything at HF.

Warmed up a little today,  and used my 460 IHC to turn my pickup around.  No helping hands around here now, and got a level yard so it went ok.   Fuel pump went out 15 miles from home last week and it came home on a rollback.  Been below freezing since, and wanted to point the box into the sun.   Reason for this is,  last time the fuel pump quit, discovered there was an access door cut in the box floor.  Under the bedliner of course.  Maybe by the weekend  I can replace the intank pump.

In the middle of swapping out window regulators on the coupe. They have been slow since day one, time passes and some things get better. It's time to get in there, straighten out, not mine the mess that was left behind. The car had speakers in the doors now gone long time. All the cutting to install the regulators and speakers were done with a cutting torch, not a straight cut line found.

HotRods always have these little hidden messes to deal with. LOL

The passenger side almost mocked up, because of the butcher job on the inside of the door.  Making sheet metal mounts that will attach to the mess. Not going to reinvent the wheel here, meaning the torch cutting will remain as it stands, but will stiffen things up.

It will make the regulator assembly structurally more ridged. Before the motor would twist back and forth as the window was raised, loosing torque. Have have new glass being cut for each door, fun little project with a good reward head.

Pick up the glass as promised at the end of the week, passenger side should be completed, and on to the drivers side. Of course that install will go quicker because I have templets made.

Back to the culvert lining job today. The contractor is going to shotcrete tomorrow.

One of the guys I race with rang me when I was out of cellphone coverage, so instead of ringing him back I stopped in to see him at work. He does precision & CNC machining, hydraulic ram servicing, repair & manufacture and industrial gearbox servicing & maintenance. He has lots of toys.

It was a bit warm. That is 93F.

muddy,

OUCH!!!!  Better put the sharps away and stick to the safer tools.

Take 2 aspirin, chase it with a good brewskie, hold your hand up, and sit close to a nice warm fire.

Manana will hopefully be a better day.  If not, repeat the above prescription.
When my wife leaves me, my dog dies, and they repossess my home, I'll still have my tools.

Ha, petrol would be a bad idea. That is a Mitsubishi ASX (Outlander Sport in the US) with a 2.2L diesel engine.

Had a run in with a utility knife.

Ouch. Whenever I pick up a utility knife it seems like it is 50/50 if I end up cutting myself!
