I'm not sure what is happening but there are three car shows in town today, for a population of 130,000.

My wife and I went Raleigh NC to visit our oldest son and wife this weekend.  Had a great time.

WHAT a pleasure it is to experience southern hospitality.  Every one is pleasant, polite and respectful.  Even the young lady who waited on me at Burger King Sunday morning said good morning, may I help you and thank you.  You never get that here except at Chic-fil-a.  It is a different world.

Another thing about Raleigh, it is growing tremendously and everything looks new or at least well kept.  The number of newish shopping centers was astounding and building was going on everywhere.  Raleigh is quite a tech hub apparently and is drawing a lot of folks to it.  Guarantee you one thing, if I didn't have grandbabies locally, I would be heading south in a year or 2.

Tried reviving the old "free" gas mower for an early spring mow. It was running funny. Guess I need to go get a carb rebuild and gasket kit.

Took the carb and tank off today (forgot how pesky and tempermental those throttle springs and governors can be!) and will go a huntin tomorrow. Hopefully the small engine place in Midtown has what I need for this 1985 model part.

Filed my taxes with TurboTax which didn't take long at all, then I get the email that my return was rejected  :91:
One simple error and it took 3 times as long as it took to file them in the first place to figure out how to fix the mistake and refile them  :41: :33:

The free install was worth the exact price ........... nothing  Took over the install, bid the installers a happy good-bye

Had to make the extra trip to lows for the correct gas fittings,  doing the install..

The free installs usually are worth nothing. Got a new W&D and they offered free install. The brand new drier vent hose got mangled and three holes and wasn't even fully seated on the vent from the dryer.

I see I'm not the only one that has to dive into appliance installs head first.

Having some issues with my 98 GMC truck. Dying at low rpm and then doesn't want to start. I figure it needs a fuel filter and I have a new one. Just don't have the energy to crawl under there to change it. I cleaned and recharged the K$N air filter, checked oil and fluids. I am going to drive it around town a bit to see if the air filter was the cause.
