Took delivery of the new ride. ordered July 7, showed up today. Almost a month sooner than promised. :-*

So have you figured out what they left off in order to get it to you so much sooner?

*grin*

I honestly think the 90 day wait is a scam to sell you one off the lot. But all they had on the lot were diesels. No way I'm paying $9k extra for a POS emission diesel. With my driving history it would take 23 yrs before the diesel costed out. I just don't think these rolling computers will last that long.

I guess the diesels are a lot less attractive these days especially with the premium price.

Yep.  It's trickled-down to the used market too, at least for Dodges around here.  I've been looking on and off for many years for a donor truck for a drivetrain to shoehorn into my '82 crew cab shortbed.  Ideally I'd find a '93 club cab longbed since they have the same wheelbase so I could just transfer everything in the drivetrain between the motor mounts and the rear leaf springs, but a regular cab donor truck would do the job.  Unfortunately even the most clap-trap, worn, rust-belt-relocated heap with a leaky injection pump is going for several thousand dollars.  I simply can't justify that kind of money.

For years I wanted a Rabbit diesel pickup but they go for insane money around here and have through the roof since the smog deal. Same with the W123 Mercedes especially the turbo diesels. So I've pretty much given up the idea.

Congratulations! Looks like a nice truck but it seems to be designed for downhill driving.

I recall Batman and Robin scaling buildings at that angle. Seems it could speed up the process of catching bad guys....eh?

Nice ride Heiny.  Magnetic was one of the options I looked at.

My Brother has a F150 with the ecoboost and he gets great mileage. But when he wants to tow something he calls me.

It gets good mileage, but I don’t buy much gas cause the company pays for it.   ;D  The heaviest I tow is my camper and it pulls it fine. I think Ford has the most comfortable and quietest ride of all.

I am done with pictures.  >:(

Ford really does have a very nice ride - nicer than the Ram. Haven't been in a late model Chevy/GMC so I can't compare.

The ride is what really impressed me on the Super Dutys. The F250 with a 10Klb GVWR a solid front axle 4X4 and its damned manageable on our crappy roads.

Found out today that the Super Duty doesn't fit in the parking garage at MDAnderson in Houston. The tires touch both lines. cant get the doors open. :-[ :-[

Wound up double parking it. ;D
