OK, this isn't tool related, but it was a little project I've been wanting to do.
Do you ever buy those 4 inch diameter candles? You burn them, them make a hole down the center maybe 1/3 of the candle, and then are done. Wait a minute! You spend say $15 for a decorative candle and you end up tossing 1/2 to 2/3 of it? That just ticked me off.
So I bought a small metal pot, cut up the remaining candle fragment into small pieces, and melted them on the stove. Used the cardboard center tube from a roll of paper towels, dropped a cotton string down the center, then poured in the liquid wax. Filled up the tube! Put it in the fridge to harden, then spiral peeled off the tube. Now just have to find a way to secure it in a glass stand and I've got another whole candle. Nice aroma, too.
And they thought they were gonna get the best of me!
