At my house it's just a board with a handle on it that drops right Into the track, not that anyone in their right mind would break into a house with a 64lb pitbull.
Always lookin' to learn

The wife and I went on a short road trip Friday before last and it was sort of a disaster ! We were going to a small town here named Egypt, just because it was there !
Trouble was the two maps I used were useless, and the mapping app on my phone was confused as well.

After a few wrong turns and a small argument with mama, we went to Wharton, Texas instead for lunch.
We did see that Wharton County Courthouse and the famous TeePee Motel. We also saw some cotton bales in Needville , Texas.

After our recent screwed up outing, the wife and I and a friend went to Birraporetti's in Friendswood, Texas to see a band called The Grateful Geezers. We had last seen them twenty years ago, and though some members have changed, the entertainment was superb ! They sing and play oldies, country, blues, rock, and R&B tunes.

A busy day in the shop tearing down a Sentra front end and putting it back together.  Two other cars passed through also which is a really good day at our shop.

got home to stain and seal more curtain rod parts and get them ready to istall tomorrow.

Some midnight tin bending in the shoppette for yet another silly brainfart idea.  The joy is I have my place far enough away from sleeping beauty where I can play at any hour without waking anyone up.   I will need more junk tin soon at this rate.  i am close to buring up the last big chunk.

The dream is real and its hard to grasp some days.  I have my hidey hole.

Stuck in the office today. At the theater across from work, how convenient, waiting for Postmodern Jukebox to start.

On the way to get some blood drawn, I shot these photos of grain elevators. One in Black and White, and one to show how nice colors are in the "Golden Hour" .

Today it didn't rain,  been coming down for the last week, just enough to not  get much done.   So this afternoon I got back to my pickup with the rusted brake line.  Had found a compression sleeve  in the 1/4 inch line from someones old repair.  Compression sleeves are not for the high pressure of a brake system,  double flares only.    Problem is that the crossmember is in the way, just enough room to get my hands in there to cut,  the tube and flare it.   This is back inside the channel of the frame,  not great access.   3rd try got a nice square double flare, even remembered to put the fitting on the tube first.   Hour of flat on my back, with head down somewhat brought on a 5 beer hangover type of headache, so had to quit for awhile.  Right can't handle beer anymore.  Glad that job is done.
