Good luck Bob , should be smooth sailing.
Is the need enough? Or does the want suffice?

I had the coronary dye test and they discovered one artery completely blocked and one other is 50% blocked. They are scheduling me for bypass surgery. NEW PIPES!

Good luck there!

Two months ago I was diagnosed with a suspected blocked artery. The angio test to confirm that was $6500. Not having insurance I declined having the procedure. I decided to do the diet, exercise, and supplement regimen I've heard about (and actually did the diet 10 years ago) in lieu of the operation.

Here's my regimen FWIW
Vegetarian diet, no fat. - Dr. Ornish

Grapefruit pectin to clear coronary arteries - Dr. Cerda

Supplement regime for congestive heart failure - Dr. Atkins

Regime for heart health - Dr. McCullough

Getting a bit parched in South Texas. Some years back I dropped an 11/16 wrench in the pasture it went in one of these and was gone.

If you can’t fix it with a hammer, it must be electrical.

Oh, I wasn't aiming it at you, Heiny. Just your story just gave me the courage to reveal my recent plight and how I'm choosing to deal with it. I've gotten quite a few weird looks and "why don't you just have the procedure and get it over with" talks.

The combining of the regimens is tricky. Hard to do Atkins plan (low carb) and Dr. Ornish's plan (total vegetarian) at the same time. And sauteeing vegetables to make them palatable is impossible without some oil, so I use extra virgin olive oil as a compromise. Eat out of my garden when I can. Plus the two heaping handfuls of pills and capsules every day is getting old.
Just trying to do what I can.

I didn’t take it that way. I think it is interesting and I know I have to change my diet drastically. I have sugar numbers creeping up also.

At 5:00 am I threw my cast net a few times to catch some bait and used them to catch a 9 pound Hybrid, which I promptly released so I or someone else could catch again when it gets bigger.

Work sucks sometimes, but that's life; and it's the rough patches that often show your employer what you're made of. Hope it works out better next week Tim.

That said, yes, I'd like to see a writeup on servicing a motorcycle front strut I haven't done one in well over 30 years.

Yesterday, Sunday, I decided to have lunch in town. I soon discovered that due to something going on it town everywhere was booked out, so I got some takeaways and went and parked at the rose gardens overlooking the harbour. Beside the rose gardens is the Bay of Plenty Vintage Car Club rooms. I didn't know when I selected my lunch spot but they were holding their 65th anniversary celebrations. They are a vintage, veteran and classic car club.
