First home grown eggs since the hurricane blew down the coop and the bobcats ate the hens.  >:D they good.

There is a country song somewhere in that statement....
Nah, he hadn't said anything at all about Momma, or trains, or trucks, or prison, or getting drunk.

People who confuse etymology and entomology bug me in ways I can’t put into words.

Good ole DAC.

He probably could have come up with a song about the bobcats and hurricanes but they wouldn't be able to play it on the radio. :D

The experience I've had, is darker primers seem to work better with lighter colors.

John Deere actually used yellow primer on their tractors back in the day. Would get people all excited think they had an industrial model. When in reality they just had a tractor with the paint gone.

Got my driver's license renewed today in advance of my 76th birthday next month.

The DL office here in our town closed some time ago, so I had to go to Texas City yesterday . That is the quickest place get this done but there was a line outside the door. I waited outside about 45 minutes, then another 25 inside, only to find out that I had to have an eye doctor confirm my vision ! I had interocular lenses placed in both eyes in 2016 and thought that was it. NO- They want me to check every year.

Went to the eye Dr this morning and he filled out the form after an eye exam. No need for eyeglasses.
Took the form back to the DL office and after another 30 minute wait in line, got everything done .

One reason I mention all this is because my uncle renewed his DL at 96 , but went back in 97 and turned it in. He said he didn't care to drive anymore and he had a 60 year old son to drive him where he wanted to go. Besides, he lived in Philadelphia and could use the train.

I hope to live as long as he did. He made 100 a couple of years ago, then died.

Finally figured out a way to lock/unlock the rear Astro door from the inside. tried 3 or 4 different methods - none worked. Then tried the simple, no frills method - and had it done in about 45 minutes. Guess I was overthinking things.  :-[   Need to finish the knobs and handle covers and that job will be done.
been mentioning converting the van to a personal, "camper" style of van to friend and family. Everyone seems to think it would be a worthwhile project. So with the rear door solved it'll be that much easier if I go thru with the conversion.

Would it have killed them to put a place to screw a lift eye on that unit? That's one thing CAT has down, there are lift points on every piece over 25 lbs. It sure is nice to balance something like that final drive on the crane while you beat on it to pull it.

Gorgeous Stearman there Justin. I miss flying those as there is nothing like the wind in your face and bugs in your teeth. I can't think of a better location for a party than an aviation museum.
