I remember a long while ago hearing that you could buy used aluminum truck floors to use as a trailer floor.
Anybody got any info?
-
Places that salvage or scavenge wrecked trucks for parts might be the best source.
Anybody near you do that?
-
Ditto on the truck wreckers. The sorta local one here is Anderson Bros in Eugene. I assume you're talking about the essentially 1x3 extruded alum "boards" used in dry van floors? Maybe find a walking floor trailer that has been messed up to gut the planks out of. You could call the big chip hauling outfits and see if they have a trailer coming in for re-flooring.

Got the entire floor out of a walking floor sawdust truck. Enough for 2 1/2 trailer floors.
I`ll tackle it this winter.
-
Off the list or from a wrecker? Under a dollar a pound?
-
What are you going to use the 1/2 trailer for?
-
Good idea Steve
How does it go together?
