Cool old advertising trinkets
« on: November 05, 2019, 11:05:59 PM »
I got a thing for these GE Triclad motors from the 40`s . I`ve got 3 of them on my machines at home. I was looking up stuff about them on flea bay and saw this.
Had to have it.
Doall and GE had playing cards also , could be a very cool collection.
I`ve got a Goodyear astray as well.

Is the need enough? Or does the want suffice?

I have no idea what I did with them, but the steelyard my grandfather worked for had playing cards with a picture of the (if I remember correctly) 88,000-volt electric crane they used to tow up and down the Delta. I loved them 'cause of my grandpa, but I still love anything like that.

We have a goodyear ash tray like that.

Looks like our tire is different than yours. I've seen ones with a tractor tire too.

I was removing the file storage system from the cabinet safe I got so I can put shelves in it. I found this Cushman Silver Anniversary keychain which was made in 1961 for the 1962 Silver Eagle on the floor of he safe. It is 1-1/2" diameter aluminum.

Used to have a little Goodyear tire keychain tape measure but it eventually fell on the sidewalk and split open.
I might have to find another.
Always lookin' to learn
