I like models, those are rare being tool promotional themed. Had them long or recently acquired ?

Some may says they need side pipes  :-\

Just thinking how much a tiny truck like that could haul.  First tool truck I bought from was a 64 Ford Econoline van.   Couldnt get on, the rear and side door were opened to show huge handmade wood drawers.  These would slide out 3-4 feet,  tools displayed laying flat.  Mac Tools and Bonney, things were different in 1971.  There was one small compartment with metrics, off to the side as metric should still be.

Yup - same here. MAC guy rolled up in an Econoline van - small inventory, but if you needed anything that wasn’t on the van, he’d come back that day with your order. Metric wasn’t even an issue then. I still prefer SAE over metric as well. In those days sets still included 32nd sizes - the good ole days LOL

I'm sure folks may have seen the Youtube channel of the guy that restores these vintage examples. His narrative is quite entertaining, and has an incredible attention to detail, and is pretty creative when fabricating needed/missing parts.

It started a while ago , like 3 or 4 years , snagged the SK one just a couple of weeks ago . I don’t go overboard, got some other stuff but there has to be some link to the my past before it’s going to command some space on the shelf.

I watch a youtube channel of a young(ish) English kid rebuilding a wooden boat from 1908 or so. And at one time he was talking about how boat designs list measurements, and it looks like this; 12-8-4, meaning twelve feet, eight inches and four eighths. And if it needed to go to 16ths, they would put a + sign at the end, so X-X-4+ would four eights and one sixteenth. He was asked about 32nds and simply said "you don't use 32nds in wooden boat building."

I rather liked it.

I like the Morris Minor van and the Sidchrome markings. That is really cool.
People who confuse etymology and entomology bug me in ways I can’t put into words.

I`ll bet Ray is drowning in drool.
Is the need enough? Or does the want suffice?
