RIP Shop-Vac
« on: September 23, 2020, 01:23:56 PM »
It was just announced that this privately owned company is shutting it's doors.
Employees showed up for work and were told to go home.

I know that rigid has mostly taken over in the professional world for wet dry vacuumes, but I grew up using the shop-vac my grandmother bought my dad for his birthday in the early 90's ( he still uses it today) and she bought me my own for my 18th birthday which I use often.

It's sad to see them go, especially since they had a number of models that were at least to some degree made here in the US.

Always lookin' to learn

Sad to hear. I still use an older 1970's model with the sheet metal canister in my machine shop. That thing looks beat, but the motor is perfect.

Well that sucks. I was going to order some 10gal HE bags for the one we finally opened the box on that we've had for over 12 years. I'll have to check the Shop-Vac store online.
