The Kromedge sets were definitely made in SAE, and in the same form-factor as the metric set.
I don't show a similar SAE socket/wrench set in the catalogs from that time. The metric socket/wrench set you show was probably considered an add-on to exiting, more expansive SAE sets. Hence the selection and packaging complemented the SAE sets. Sears made another set along the same line and form-factor;... the Whitworth set. The price was the same as the metric set ($32.95) in the 1960 Hand Tool catalog.
The 1966 catalog shows a similar SAE set, but without the wrenches -- that's about as close as they came in SAE to match the Whitworth and Metric offerings.
