....if any.
What's the preferred Lube for plastic bushing on metal shafts?

The plastic is the tricky part. I'd try silicone plumbers grease.

Have no specific info but I have always felt any lube is better than no lube. George's grease is likely a good choice but if you are like me, I like to use what I already have. I would use white grease or wheel bearing grease. Of course they may be too sloppy for your intended application

My only concern is a mineral-oil based grease which could adversely affect the plastic part (not knowing what type of plastic that particular part is made of). So a synthetic grease is preferred. Plus, since plumbing grease is used on devices where contamination with ingestible components, such a grease must be pretty inert, therefore adding to my recommendation for use on plastic. Additionally, it's cheap and readily available.
But as Phil said I might just use what I have on hand. SuperLube would be my go-to, though it has a teflon component in a mineral oil base.

i just replaced the bushings in my custom. i used silicone, water proof grease. You can use a dielectric type is what I got. Checked for quite a while on net and this is what came up.

Superlube is what I would try. It is NSF approved for use in commercial restaurant equipment, which tends to have plastic and metal parts.

Thanks guys. This is the drum "bearing" in my dryer. The belt broke so I figured I replace the slides and bearings while I have it all apart....
And I mean ALL apart!!!

Still waiting on the drum slides. Figured replace all wear parts now so I don't have to do it again for a while.
Amazon says they should be here tomorrow, but i have my doubts. Must have taken the row boat.

Got it back together and drying. Had to take it apart twice to plug in and readjust sensors but it works now!

I hope you have better luck than I did the last time I did this job. Replaced the bearing and belt then 2 loads later the motor took a forever nap.

Over the years I've replaced the motor, belt, bearings and slides in my 25 year old Maytag.
Certainly worth the effort and cost.
