Anybody good with word?
« on: January 21, 2024, 05:07:41 PM »
I'm putting together a resume , i`ve got it mostly done but i need a green border around the page.
This is the style im going for.

Is the need enough? Or does the want suffice?

"Design" tab, Page Borders (far right), set up in the Page Border tab - Style for the line type, choose the Color and adjust width etc.

Just a point of reference, most (not just some) resumes will never be seen by human eyes. At least in their original form. Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), scan incoming resumes to companies and standardize information so hiring managers can quickly compare candidates. That is of course after the software weeds out the non-qualified applicants, making the software the first hurdle to getting 1) phone time with the hiring mgr, and 2) a live interview.

I've found the easiest way to use word is to create the document in WordPerfect or OpenOffice, do it the easy way then export it to word format.
People who confuse etymology and entomology bug me in ways I can’t put into words.
