Through the years I have seen and owned a number of tools bearing the Fleet name.
You boys better hold on cause I'm gonna have to stand on it!

One of my all time favorite 1/4 sets. A large =v= series with lots of goodies. The =v= series is my favorite because the tools were high quality at an affordable price.

I love my V code sliding T, it seems like a very well made tool.

Hi CRTDI - the only tool marked “Fleet” is the ratchet. All the others are only marked with a number and “Alloy”. But the reason I believe it’s an original set is that the socket numbers are sequential with the sizes up to 7/16.

I have some Fleet stuff with only the "P-" prefixed part numbers as well. I assumed this denoted Penens, but I'm really not sure.

CRTDI - you are the King of 1/4 socket sets. I am but, your humble vassal my liege. 👍

Cruiser, Thanks!  I got nothing on you, your tool collections are simply amazing.

Another Fleet set! Yiipes! That is awesme and looks ion great shape.

I have not seen the Craftsman before it looks to be a complete assortment to have.

I have the same magnetic inserts. Don't use them too often but I like having them.

CRTDI - I believe you are right on the “P” stamp. I think Penens was the mother company and Fleet was simply a brand name. To make matters more confusing, check out this 50’s Challenger set.

Matco set...maybe 1980s vintage?

The Stevens Walden ratchet adapter resides here since this is the only 1/4" box I own that has enough space to accommodate it.

With the exception of the ratchet adapter and one of the extensions, this set contains all Matco pieces with a mix of S.A.E. and metric sizes.

I really like the ratchet in this set. Nice fine tooth action and a detent positioned flex head. I believed it's sourced from Wright.
