A real curiosity
« on: April 15, 2019, 10:54:52 PM »
So I got the original Easydriver in from Bman and noticed something curious about it, something I'm very glad is there.
The tabs are a there but for some reason the reverse side is a loose fit.
I was looking at it to see why this could be when I noticed these divots or craters inside the reverse drive end and only in the drive end.
They kind of look like they were melted into the plastic, probably something when this piece was moulded but all I can do is guess.

The one my grandfather had is not like this, which is a shame because it's got a broken tab.
It's a shame because I realized that on this one I can put a small ball bearing ( or in my case a BB ) I'm the deepest crater which provided the perfect amount of tension to hold the shaft in place.
Once I located my super glue I'll permanently affix the bb in place, if my other one had these divots in it I'd do the same.

If you've got an Easydriver with broken tabs look in there and see if it's got these divots, if it does you can glue a bb or ball bearing in there as a simple effective fix.
