If you haven't heard, our governor, Brian Kemp, has decided to give the go ahead to begin opening the economy back up. The plan includes allowing restaurants, gyms, nail salons, bowling alleys, etc, to open up and incorporate safe practices beginning Friday. Of course he's getting killed for it in the press. Atlanta's mayor, along with several others, want to keep everything shut down indefinitely, and think Kemp is a rube for allowing businesses to reopen. They're forecasting all sorts of gloom and doom including many more fatalities, which has been overstated all along.
As for me, this is why I voted for the man (of course there's no way I would've voted for his opponent). Kemp realizes we have to get back to normal and this shelter in place needs to start ending. The attack on civil liberties the last six weeks has truly been frightening.
