I'm all for it -- people need to get on with their lives and move about outside in the sunshine and fresh air. Shut-ins usually do worse physically and mentally than people who are active and on the move.

I hope Georgia does well with opening back up. I don't want to hear the whiners saying I told you so if it fails and cases surge.

Oh, they're all set to do that and blame the governor for anyone that dies.
You and your wife headed to a restaurant for dinner ?

We all agree this virus is highly contagious travels fast. What it is not is the Bubonic plague, 45k deaths, in US population. Not yet has it hit the every year flue benchmark.

Yet folks run around with their hair on fire as if it were. Case surge, is not a death surge, yet it is quoted constantly. And the death tolls thrown in at the end, as OBTW, that is the number to watch.

We do takeout with our favorite restaurants at least once a week. It gives them some needed business, and just makes it a bit more livable for us shut-ins.

You do know anything they can remotely justify as Covid, they are doing?  That number isn't much more reliable than the numbers out of China.

Went down town to my data center, traffic was 50%, picking up for sure.

The good news all beggars seem to be all in honoring & demonstrating proper virus  etiquette.
One on each corner,  social distancing, standard virus attire, masks and rubber gloves. A problem I noticed they are using old feed me signs, risky could be virus laden.

Keep your window up..

one thing I noticed ,when everyone was claiming to be out of masks and gloves , our bums seemed to have an ample supply of masks and gloves. I bet nobody asked them where to get PPE :hee20hee20hee:

The Mayor of Grants NM which is on I-40 between Gallup and ABQ decided to re-open the town. The state police showed up at the golf course to threaten people with fines while the county Sheriff was visiting the pawn shop looking for maybe a new gun or ammo. The towns of Grants and adjoining Milan rely on tourists and truckers for a good part of their tax base. The airport there was always a quick place to stop and get avgas for my 8-12 hour flights from KS to CA.

Well, as I expected, our RINO governor extended the lockdown till "at least" May 15th.  :38:  Meaning he'll probably extend it again then by two weeks and then again. Using the boiling frog analogy, if he'd said he wanted things shut down till August everybody would have revolted. But by doing it in 2 week intervals - matched with "we'll have to see what the numbers look like" - most people will just accept it. But I think the revolt is coming.

The numbers keep going up, and we've BEEN on lockdown. So obviously it's not working. "Well, if we open things up the number of cases will jump"! Watch how they jump over the next two weeks anyway, and he'll use that to justify maintaining the lockdown.  :-[  And I voted for this wimp, because "he was not as bad as the Dem nominee".

That's what some of these states will be doing up to the election.  Keep dragging it out.

Sad but lots of truth to that, for the most part carried on as I usual do out here.
