Ductolator and other hvac computational charts
« on: February 17, 2021, 04:22:48 PM »
Someone at GJ asked about how to figure the duct size he needed for a certain airflow, and it made me think of something my dad used called a ductolator. A carboard slide-rule type device that allowed for shop computations on the fly. This was like 40 years ago, didn't think it'd still be made in todays digital app age.

But I found a company that still makes it, and other similar HVAC tools. So I'm listing it for selfish reasons!

I think I still have one in my school stuff. I never throw stuff like that away.

Found a ductalator today. proves again my dad's saying - "If you keep your eyes open and keep scrounging you'll find what you're looking for a a price you're willing to pay". This was $2, in perfect shape.
