Well, here she is! During the initial cleaning I discovered a fair number of dents, and decided against trying to use a mandrel and forcing them back out form the inside of the tubes. I figured I'd do more harm than good. Also, some of the areas down in the middle of the tripod just weren't accessible for real cleaning, so I opted for a decent cleaning with fine steel wool and wax.
I think it came out great! Added some ABS foot pads to prevent carpet damage from the raw edges - I'm using it to hold my blood pressure monitor and cuff. Just perfect!
