Hurricane Lane coming to get me

Well, we’re batting down the hatches and preparing for a direct hit by Hurricane Lane. We just got back from Costco where it was an insane asylum. Folks here are not used to hurricanes coming this close to the islands. Tomorrow I’ll lash down the boat and hope for the best. It’s supposed to hit Oahu by Thursday where we live, if you all hear from me on Friday, things will be okay.

Best of luck on the storm.   Nasty as the hurricanes can be,  with our tornadoes we only get about 10 minutes warning at the most.

Thanks so much John and JAFE. For now the weather folks are saying that the hurricane should be downgraded to a Category 1 storm. We'll see.

Mahaho (thank you) so much to everyone that has given me and my family prayers and well wishes. The folks here at GG are the best! Been busy all day getting really for the storm. Right now supplies such as bottled water, gas. toilet paper and canned foods are almost impossible to find. I think though, we have enough of the necessties for a couple of weeks.

Currently, the storm is still a Cat 4, but has weakened slightly and is slowing down. That can be good or bad. So, Oahu will see the effects Friday and Saturday. Will keep you all posted as best I can. Again, thank you all and God bless.
